Smart charging to maximize battery lifespan
Intelligently detects battery types and automatically selects the optimal charging method, then automatically adjusts the best charging current based on the adapter power and battery condition.

3-stage method for charging Li-ion batteries: TC/CC/CV
- Phase TC: cells discharged below 2.75V are 'woken up' with a lower current.
- Phase CC: after reaching 2.75V, the cell is charged with the target charging current
- Phase CV: when the cell is almost fully charged, the charger switches to charging with a decreasing current until the voltage of 4.2V is reached on the cell. After reaching 4.2V
Charging batteries using the CVSA method
- charging batteries while maintaining a lower temperature
- multiple protections to avoid undercharging and overcharging. Over-voltage protection, time limit protection, and -delta V detection, ensuring a safer and more efficient charging process.

* When testing the capacity of a 1.5 V lithium-ion battery, the voltage is not displayed. The volume in mWh of the 1.5 V lithium-ion battery is the output energy after accounting for conversion losses.
Smarter storage for battery protection
VX2 Pro is the first charger to support the storage function for 1.5 V lithium-ion batteries — intelligently adjusting the cells to optimal voltage to reduce self-discharge, slow aging, and extend battery life.

Refreshing – revive old Ni-MH batteries
The capacity and performance of Ni-MH batteries decrease over time. The refreshing function helps them achieve the maximum possible capacity.
➤ Suitable for older or frequently used batteries. It intelligently adjusts discharge and charge cycles based on the battery's condition.
* For Ni-MH batteries only, other batteries will be automatically charged under this function.

Discharging the battery to the cut-off voltage for quick capacity checking and optimal maintenance.
* After the discharging process is complete, set the
charging function to prevent excessive battery discharge.

Internal Resistance Measurement
Displays the internal resistance of each cell — providing deeper insight into the state of the battery. A very useful feature when using batteries in devices with high current draw. Resistance measurement is also helpful in situations where the device uses multiple batteries simultaneously.

Reactivation of low voltage batteries
The low current activation introduced by XTAR allows for a safe and effective way to revive excessively discharged cells.

Memory after power off
The VX2 Pro retains mode and function settings after a power interruption until they are changed.
The VX2 Pro charger intelligently remembers the LiFePO4 mode settings. Even after a power interruption or accidental disconnection, it automatically returns to the LiFePO4 mode upon power restoration, eliminating the risk of applying inappropriate charging parameters that could damage valuable LiFePO4 batteries.
