The Uni-T UT682 is a multifunctional cable locator (Wire Tracker/Tone & Probe) consisting of a transmitter and receiver, designed for non-invasive location of network, telephone and power cables. This allows the user to locate cables without having to expose the insulation, which significantly speeds up and facilitates installation and service work
The transmitter is equipped with RJ45 and RJ11 connectors, which allow for testing the correctness of terminations – detection of short circuits, breaks or mistakes in the sequence of wires. The SCAN version allows to test the continuity of wiring, detect open connections, short circuits, as well as incorrect arrangement of wires in the wires. Antenna receiver with headphone connector allows you to track the signal in crowded or noisy environments, and volume control improves user experience
The UT682 supports TEST mode for tracking telephone and network lines, and SCAN mode for line checking, with FAST/SLOW speed selection. In addition, the transmitter informs you when the battery level is low, which improves operation
