UNI-T UT387E – Professional in-wall cable and structural detector
UNI-T UT387E is an intelligent detector of wires, metal and structural elementsin walls. It is an indispensable tool for electricians, fitters, builders and do-it-yourselfers who want to avoid accidental drilling or damage to load-bearing elements. The UT387E combines detection accuracy with simple, intuitive operation and an easy-to-read LCD display.
Detecting wires, metal and wooden structures
The UT387E can reliably detect:
- live (AC) cables
- metal elements (iron, steel, copper, etc.)
- wooden structural elements (e.g. beams, frames)
Thanks to Digital Signal Processing (DSP), the device analyzes the data in real time and presents the precise result on the screen. Built-in LED indicators and audible and graphic signals help to accurately locate the detected object.
Easy-to-read screen and intuitive markings
The UT387E is equipped with a backlit LCD display that shows the type of detected object and its depth (for metal and wood) in real time. The screen is supported by built-in LED signaling and an audible alarm, which makes it easy to precisely locate the installation in the wall, even without visual contact.
Accuracy and safety
Thanks to the technology used, UT387E allows you to detect:
- live wires at a depth of up to 50 mm,
- ferrous metal – up to 100 mm,
- non-ferrous metal (e.g. copper, aluminium) – up to 80 mm,
- wooden elements – up to 20 mm.
These are sufficient parameters to safely plan drilling, chiseling or other assembly works in most typical walls (gypsum, concrete, brick, wood).
